Shaken, but certainly not stirred

That was how Grimsby yacht builders Tony Farrow and John Chambers felt when they were approached to build the hull of the boat featured in the latest Bond blockbuster, Casino Royale, says a report on grimsbytelegraph.co.uk

The duo, of Farrow and Chambers Yacht Builders, on Marsden Road, have been trading for nearly 30 years and have made yachts for such high profile clients as the editor of Yachting World magazine, Andrew Bray.

‘We were on the front cover of the magazine with that one, which was a nice surprise,’ said Chambers. ‘The hull for Casino Royale was made for Spirit Yachts in Suffolk. It is featured in two scenes in the film, one where the girl is sitting on the deck taking pictures and then, later in the film, when Bond makes a phone call.’

It was quite exiting to know we were a part of it, hew added, but admitted: 'When I saw it I didn't really think too much about our involvement - I was too busy watching the film!'
