Portavadie marina a reality

The new marina at Portavadie on the eastern shore of Loch Fyne is now a reality, with the main pontoon structure and temporary shore facilities in place at the end of May, writes Mike Balmforth.
This season will see a fuel berth and a travel hoist added and, once the marina is complete, work will begin on a permanent facilities building, and 19 letting properties overlooking the marina.
Looking further ahead, Portavadie's plans include a boatyard with undercover storage, a chandlery and restaurant and other elements of a comprehensive marine leisure business.
