Sunseeker’s first from Portland
01 Jul 2007
The first boat built at Sunseeker International's new
Portland base has rolled off the production line, writes Ian Sutherland.
The Predator 108 - which featured in the Bond movie Casino Royale - is now being fitted out in Poole before being shipped to Italy for sale.
The £5m boat was built in 10 weeks after Sunseeker moved into the former Luhrs Marine site at Osprey Quay in March.
‘We're all tremendously proud of the first 108 Predator to be built at Osprey Quay,’ said general manager Ian Jolliffe. ‘It's testament to the team's hard work, application and drive that it's taken only 10 weeks to get to this stage.’
