New separation scheme off Harwich
01 Jun 2007
The folio details the modification and extension of the existing Sunk Precautionary Area, which improves the safety of navigation in the northern approaches to the Thames Estuary.
The new folios include SC5606 Ramsgate to Tower Bridge and SC5607 Essex and Suffolk Coast.
Major changes to this new edition leisure chart folio for the leisure mariner include a recommended two-way route having been created from Kentish Knock Buoy to Long Sand Head Buoy for smaller craft and buoyage repositioning and amendments.
Admiralty Leisure says such major changes for a big-ship route mean there has never been a more important time to ensure you have the correct folios in stock.
The new editions include details of the modified and extended existing Sunk Precautionary Area and the establishment of three traffic separation schemes in the northern approaches to the Thames Estuary.
