Watchmonitor to increase turnover

Worldwide links are being forged by a Cornish company that has designed a piece of kit to help give boat owners peace of mind, writes Katina Read.
Microcomms Marine say interest in the Watchmonitor, an alarm and monitoring device, has been expressed by firms in the Far East, the US and Europe as well as across the UK.
The Watchmonitor continually measures and reports on the status of onboard apparatus and alerts the owner to anything from a rise in bilge water to a build up of gas or an intruder on board.
The device is the successor to an earlier pilot version and the company is confident it will lead to a ‘substantial’ increase in turnover.
It has added to its management team with Rob Flack, appointed as business development manager to help maximise the potential of the device.
