Julian Gowing has been appointed managing director of Premier Yacht Sales. He joins the yacht sales team as Premier launch a new range of Moody Yachts.

Gowing’s career began in the marine industry in 1983 and in that time he has worked in specialist marine consumer lending, directed the UK’s largest retail sales and brokerage company and, more recently, run a dedicated marine magazine and internet media company.

An active participant in supporting the British Marine Federation in his roles as chairman of BMF South, second vice chairman of the National Boat Show board and as a committee member of Boat Retailers and Brokers Association and British Sailing.

A large part of Gowing’s new role at Premier will be to focus on driving the sales and marketing of the new Moody range, in addition to continuing to build on the success of Elan yachts and the existing brokerage sales team.

With 24 years in the industry, his background has given him a wealth of knowledge and experience in all aspects of running a successful boat sales and brokerage business.
