01 May 2007
Rights to market a new catamaran have been won by a Plymouth
based company, writes Katina read.
MiniCat-UK has been set up to promote and sell the MiniCat, dubbed the cat in a bag. The catamaran is an ultra-lightweight, folding, inflatable catamaran which can be set up in 30 minutes.
Able to carry two people, the cat was tested late last year, sailing around the Plymouth coast.
‘I am incredibly pleased we’ve won the rights to market this superb product,’ explained MD Rowan Brook. ‘It has taken some hard work for us to get here and now we’re really looking forward to the future.’
The catamaran will fit in a bag 4ft long designed to be carried as a rucksack and weighs less than 40kg.
