The highly distinctive orange and black Torqeedo outboard motors were stolen in June but the Norfolk Police marine division only received the information this month.

However, details of the 23 Torqeedo motors have now been posted on the website stolenboats.org.uk – the online database of stolen boats and marine equipment. All the information on this website is provided by the marine insurance industry and the Police and is cross-checked with the Police National Computer.

Twenty orange and black model 801S and three model 801L with a total value of £23,000 were stolen.

The Norfolk Police Broads Beat team has also circulated details of the outboards abroad via the International Association of Marine Investigators.

The Broads Beat team is appealing for anyone with any information about the outboards to contact PC Nathan Tuck at Hoveton Police Station, Norwich - mobile 07770 323463 or 08454 564567. Fax 01692 401230.
