New marina hopes for Falmouth
01 Oct 2007
The proposed development will comprise five pontoons and a new floating breakwater is also proposed which will provide additional berthing for commercial vessels and superyachts.
If successful, the marina could be up and running by next spring and will be the largest transformation of Falmouth Docks to have taken place in decades.
The plans also include showers, changing rooms and drying facilities for boat users, an office building and car parking areas.
A&P says the marina will improve the sustainability of the working dock by upgrading an area which is currently underused, diversifying the existing dock operations and helping to safeguard jobs. The marina will not impact on the port’s existing functions and operations.
