Barton Marina – located on the Trent & Mersey Canal between Lichfield and Burton-on-Trent – has been open for some time and contains 300 berths.

The opening of The Waterfront is part of a somewhat delayed further development of the site which will include two more restaurants, an art gallery, a toy museum and butcher/baker, delicatessen, toy, giftware and handicraft shops.

Construction of these is at an advanced stage and they will open shortly. The development is expected to create 50 new jobs.
