Andy Garside is the new owner and he will be trading as Shobnall Boat Services. Jeanette and Mike Hines have retained ownership of the Trent & Mersey Canal site and will continue to administer the marina moorings.

Garside is a long-time boat owner and boating enthusiast with a background in business management. All existing services – for which there is considerable demand - will continue and all of the Jannel staff have been transferred to Shobnall Boat Services.

Future plans include expansion of the chandlery stock and an on-line catalogue and postal service. Garside has also taken on an Isuzu engine agency covering both marine and industrial applications.
