Luxury hotel for Bembridge Harbour

SOUTH COAST: Developers have put in plans for a luxury hotel with a car park, yachtsmen’s showers and public toilets at Bembridge Harbour, writes Iain Sutherland.
The move follows the sale of leaseholds around the harbour for £250,000 by the Bembridge Harbour Improvement Company.
The existing building on the site, containing showers, toilets and the harbour office would be demolished to make way for the new hotel complex.
Residents of the flats on the site have mounted a campaign to have the plans thrown out as they think they're out of keeping with the harbour.
