Ecover aims to clean up in leisure marine
01 Apr 2008
The standard versions of these cleaners are all nasty chemical based products that we perhaps don't always consider when we're using them on a boat. They are all likely to find their way into our waterways and in this day and age there is no excuse.
Consider that it takes a staggering 53,000 litres of water to neutralise one dose of regular toilet cleaner but only 129 litres to completely break down a dose of Ecover Toilet Cleaner. That's a factor of over 400!
The same must be said for the boat cleaner and wax. Gone are the days where its acceptable to use a bottle of 'popular brand' washing up liquid full of phosphates and chlorine in favour of Ecover's Heavy Duty Boat Wash and their Wash & Wax that have the absolute minimum impact on aquatic life. Both are made from plant extracts and are truly Biodegradable.
'Designed to be low foaming' is something that seems to confuse users as they seem to want the excessive foam given by some cleaners but is incredibly bad for the environment. They are easy to use and extremely competitively priced at £5.99 & £4.99 inc. VAT RRP respectively with a generous trade discount for stockists.
As a distributor of marine equipment, we are extremely proud to have the Ecover brand at the forefront of our increasing range of ecologically considerate products. As a practical boater, I don't feel justified in using anything else! Ecover has to be the obvious choice for boat owners in 2008.
The product has been endorsed by World Champion skipper of the Ecover Open 60 and Green Blue ambassador, Mike Golding OBE.
