Island development to cut yard space

SOUTH COAST: Ambitious plans have been submitted to develop Cowes Yacht Haven, writes Iain Sutherland.
These plans, presented by the Cowes Town Waterfront Trust, include an 80 bed hotel and a three storey car park.
The scheme envisages a reduction in boatyard capacity on the site and the loss of the existing Fastnet restaurant and sailmaker’s loft.
