SOUTH COAST: A deal has been struck between Cowes Yacht Haven , P1 and the British Powerboat Racing Club, writes Iain Sutherland.
This means that the Cowes-Torquay-Cowes powerboat race will be hosted by the yacht haven in August.
Cowes had faced competition for the event, which replaces the British Grand Prix of the Sea championship, from Southampton’s Ocean Village. Cowes Yacht Haven manager Steve Cole said that while nothing had been signed as yet, an agreement had been sent out.
