SPLIT: The separation of Holt and one of its manufacturing partners, Allen Brothers after 52 years, is 'regrettable' says Chadwick Beecher-Moore, Holt’s managing director.

He added it was not Holt’s decision and he regrets they no longer shared the vision to continue in their partnership. 'You need strategic agility to stay in touch with evolving markets as well as supporting core business. The breakdown of our manufacturing partnership is regrettable, as with any long standing relationship'. However, he added that Holt has the resources in place and time to deliver the next generation of Holt products.

Holt director Ben Dunton was upbeat about the separation. 'This is an opportunity to evolve the range using the latest materials and technology.'

Dunton also points out that the company has committed to investing around £750,000 in the development and manufacture of the next generation of Holt products. New products will be 'seamlessly integrated' with the existing lines, says Dunton, the first of which will be introduced in April.
