PUBLICATIONS - IRELAND: Irish Cruising Club, who publish the only Sailing Directions to the Irish coast, has released a new and fully revised 11th edition of its North & East Coasts of Ireland writes Mike Balmforth.
New editor Norman Keane, who researched the material in the course of several summers cruising, has largely rewritten the book, produced new chartlets, and used a superb and comprehensive set of aerial photographs by Kevin Dwyer to bring this 224 page pilot completely up-to-date.
North & East Coasts of Ireland, which covers from the Tuskar Rock to Bloody Foreland, first appeared the year after the 1929 formation of the ICC, and has since been produced by a succession of dedicated editors, using much input supplied by fellow members to ensure a really yacht-friendly set of information.
