Onan moves from Berthon to Cummins UK

DISTRIBUTION: Cummins Onan is to move its UK distribution from Berthon Boat Company to Cummins UK, which will serve as its sole distributor for the UK and Ireland. As part of the transition Neil Phelps, Cummins Onan dealer manager for Berthon will move to Cummins UK as sales manager Powergen.

'We look forward to working with Cummins UK, which will be able to provide world class customer support for the region and will realise new market opportunities for us going forward,' said Andy Lunn of GM Cummins Onan UK. 'They will also be able to offer a complete engine room solution package with the CMD propulsion engines and our marine generator sets.'

Cummins UK has a central parts warehouse and 14 service locations across the UK and Ireland, including its Southampton Marine Centre at Swanwick Marina on the River Hamble and a marine dealer network.

The company is also the sole distributor for the Cummins MerCruiser diesel range of propulsion engines. The company will provide sales, aftermarket support and backup for the entire Cummins Onan product range.
