SOUTH WEST: Portishead-based Quay Marinas has signed deals to run two more UK marinas, writes Katina Read.
They are the 565-berth Bangor Marina and Commercial Harbour in Belfast Lough, Northern Ireland and the 165-berth Deganwy Quays Marina in North Wales.
Quay already owns the 500-berth Conwy Quays Marina on the opposite side of the estuary. The 15-year lease for Bangor was competed for by four other marina operators and was awarded to Quay Marinas, which runs Portishead Marina, by owners North Down Borough Council. The deals bring the number of marinas owned or run by the company to six.
