RIBEX 2008 latest

BOAT SHOW: World renowned rough-water supremo Hamish MacDonald, of the Maritime Rescue Institute, will be opening the 2008 Suzuki sponsored show at Cowes.

This year's event will see a number of new initiatives including special ‘Starter Boat Package’ exhibits, hospitality and goodies for those visitors who come to the show by RIB - plus daily prizes.

Besides launches staged by Stingher, Scorpion, Redbay and Hunton, Hockley Marine will be displaying the flagship of the Capelli RIB range, the Tempest 900 WA Cabin RIB at this year’s RIBEX. This will be the very first time this product has been seen in the UK and visitors will have the opportunity to sea trial this affordable new vessel along with the new Tempest 690.

As part of the centenary celebrations, this year's BRP display at RIBEX will showcase Evinrude outboard engines past and present. A historic Evinrude from 1917 will take prime position at the BRP hospitality truck together with a range of engines from the 2008 line-up.

The British Antarctic Survey, a world class Antarctic Scientific Research Organisation, will be making a debut appearance at RIBEX as well. The Survey is globally recognised and visitors will have opportunity to meet the team and learn of the opportunities they can share with regard to the organisation’s work.

RIBEX 2008 will take place from 9th to 11th May 2008 at Cowes Yacht Haven, Isle of Wight. For information visit www.ribexhibitions.co.uk
