SOUTH COAST: Hamble based pontoon and walkway manufacturer Solent Marine is expanding its manufacturing premises by 50% and is set to appoint European agents to handle sales and local project management, writes Iain Sutherland.

Solent says that the success of its recent project in the Azores has encouraged the company towards further expansion of activities outside the UK.

Expansion at Solent's factory will keep production in-house and create more space for stocking the firm's SimBro modular pontoon system.
