INLAND WATERWAYS: Following the shock withdrawal of British Waterways (BW) from the Cotswold Canals Partnership, the Heritage Lottery Fund has agreed to continue with its £11.9m funding package contribution to the scheme, writes Harry Arnold.

Works can now go ahead with Stroud District Council becoming the lead partner in the restoration, working with the Cotswold Canals Trust and others to restore the section of the canals from Stonehouse to Brimscombe.
