Barton Marine, as sole European distributor, launched the Fuel Whistle, which they claim is a unique device that can help prevent accidental spillages.
The Fuel Whistle lets the owner know when to stop filling by creating a 'whistling' sound throughout re-fuelling as air is displaced out of the breather pipe. To warn the boat owner that the tank is approaching full, the sound changes to a 'warble' before stopping when the tank is full.
Any boat with a 16 mm (5/8") vent line can be fitted with a Fuel Whistle, which at just 5cm (2") in length and width when installed is unobtrusive. The device is simple to install and is fitted in line into the breather pipe. The fuel vent line is cut and the Fuel Whistle is inserted into the vent line, so that the arrows on the device are facing upwards. Two screws can be inserted into the moulded mounting ears of the device to keep the device positioned firmly in the correct direction.
The Fuel Whistle is priced at £11.05 excluding VAT (RRP).

Icom UK launched what it claims to be the world's first VHF/DSC with an integrated AIS (Automatic Identification System) receiver.
Both the company's IC-M603 and IC-M505 VHF/DSCs can now be purchased with integrated AIS Receiver.
This new integrated solution provides a range of essential features: VHF, DSC, hailer and foghorn capability and now AIS Receiver - all in one unit. In addition, both units can be controlled by a Commandmic giving owners of larger boats extra flexibility.
Each radio comes, as standard, with a cable which simply connects to a PC or chart plotter (subject to chartplotter specs) and then it's up and running.
AIS equipped vessels will then be displayed over the cartography and enable boaters to work out the speed and course of the approaching vessel. The vessel's identity will also be displayed, with its MMSI number, and destination.
The AIS receiver also benefits from the excellent performance of the IC-M505 and IC-M603 receiver.
The retail price of the IC-M505 (with AIS Receiver) is £569.95 (inc.VAT). The retail price of the IC-M603 (with AIS Receiver) is £749.95 (inc.VAT).

Navigators & General, part of the Zurich Group, launched its new Prestige yacht and motor boat policy designed for the £1-10m vessel market.
Following increasing demand in the market for these larger boats, N&G has developed an entirely new policy tailored to meet the needs of the Superyacht owner, and offer automatic extensions in the cover they require.

N&G has also incorporated access to an exclusive 24hr concierge service which provides help organising events, purchases for the boat or crew, booking moorings in crowded marinas, booking restaurants ashore and almost any requirement that may come up.
To recognise and reward careful owners, Prestige Yacht and Motor Boat Policy holders contains a 5% rebate clause, payable on renewal providing, no claims over 15% of the gross premium are made. This increases to 7.5% after five years.
The policy also includes: travel arrangements and accommodation in the event of the vessel becoming unseaworthy, to specified policy limits; employer's liability for paid crew; automatic skipper charter cover; leased equipment cover; emergency assistance cover; no policy excess in approved marinas; no policy excess on third party claims; medical expenses, to specified policy limits and personal accident cover.

Lewmar offered an 8" version of its 2006 DAME Award winning OneTouch Winch Handle.
Like the original 10" version, the smaller winch handle has the same patented OneTouch mechanism with two pins that automatically retract into the bi-square when the handle arm is squeezed. These pins extend when the handle arm is released, and provide a secure lock that prevents the handle from being inadvertently knocked out of the winch.
Insertion or removal of the handle is now a one-handed operation instead of fumbling with traditional bi-square locks.
The One Touch is constructed of lightweight forged alloy and is corrosion resistant for years of performance under harsh conditions. It's available in standard grip or power grip starting at £41 inc VAT.

Henri-Lloyd says its Atmosphere 360 concept is simple. It uses design and fabric technologies that have been developed and tested through the company's ongoing product development programme to provide this innovative collection, which offers comfort and intelligent protection from the environment.
Atmosphere garments use a range of technologies that create a 'personal micro-climate' by providing moisture management, high UV protection and insulation when needed. This is achieved through garment design and a new generation of technical fabrics. H-L says the collection has been designed to deliver comfort and performance from varied sports activities to normal everyday wear.
The 'go anywhere, do anything' range has been developed to cover a range of climatic conditions which have been categorised into Warm and Cold. In each category there are three different ranges; Soft Shell, Fast-Dri and Shell.
In warm conditions, or when the wearer is constantly moving, they need garments that work together to keep their body cool. Breathability and comfort are fundamental, whilst protection from wind, water and other climatic conditions is also extremely important.
The Cold Zone range has been designed to provide comfort when the temperature falls or during more passive activities. The products in this range include next to skin and mid-layer systems, both important in controlling thermal insulation.
The Soft Shell range is versatile and has been designed to provide comfort and performance to the wearer.
The next to skin range in the Warm Zone is the Fast-Dri Featherweight collection, shown here. This range is ideal for warm weather sailing and high performance sports. The Fast-Dri Featherweight fabric is highly breathable and extremely high wicking - spreading perspiration and moisture across the surface area to speed up the drying process.

Halyard showed its latest addition to the Aquadrive family with the launch of the Aquadrive CV48.
Distributed in the UK by Halyard, Aquadrives are designed to reduce structure borne noise and vibration by up to 90% and overall noise levels by up to 75%. An Aquadrive will reduce the transmission of noise and vibration to the hull by providing the necessary freedom of movement from the driveshaft, also allowing soft mounts to be used, giving a further reduction in vibration/structure borne noise.
The latest CV size will fill a gap for boats utilising mid range 500-900hp engines. This will provide the solution for cases where systems with the CV42 are too weak and the CV60 too heavy.

Tacktick showed its new silver-grey Micronet range with a host of new features including improved instrument backlighting options and greater range for the wind instruments.
This new range is fully compatible with Tacktick’s wireless remote display which can both drive the instruments remotely and display any of the data in a variety of screen options; all in the palm of the hand with no batteries or wires.
Also launched to the public was the company's new Dual Maxi Display which displays two lines of data in 32mm digits to give excellent wide angle viewing options with a choice of backlighting colours for maximum clarity at night.
Tacktick’s Maxi range offers an array of features including a start line function that tells racers to speed up or slow down as they approach the start line. The displays use high contract LCD screens with super-large digits for maximum clarity. With no wires to run through the boat, or up the mast, and super-thin, lightweight displays, Tacktick’s instruments offer the most weight efficient package for race boat owners.
The Maxi range comes with many features, including line bias, wind shift and timer functions, indicators for acceleration and speed trends, plus advanced set, drift, turn, and course to steer functions, which provide exceptional advantages in tidal waters.
The instruments have an ‘auto leg’ function which automatically displays the relevant information for each leg of the course.
The displays are capable of receiving and displaying all forms of data wirelessly: from polar data, true wind speed, VMG and compass headings to speed, depth and wind, SOG, COG and navigational data.
Both the new Dual Maxi and the Maxi displays can be controlled and configured from anywhere on the boat using Tacktick’s Remote Display.
