Dean & Reddyhoff go large at Portland

The massive Hoist M270 marina forklift, supplied by exclusive UK importer Shoreline Storage Solutions based in Dorset, will be capable of lifting boats in excess of 42ft and weighing up to 27,000lbs.
Able to stack boats to a height of 54ft and with a negative lift to 14ft, the truck will be used to service a brand new undercover dry stack storage facility at the marina.
Part of the venue for the Sailing Events of the London 2012 Olympic & Paralympic Games, Portland Marina will be the largest single marina constructed in the UK for 15 years. he dry stack facility will offer secure dry storage for around 170 powerboats, in addition to the 600 berths in the marina itself.
Delivery of the truck is expected in September 2008, in time to be used for winter lift-out and storage ashore at Portland during the winter 2008/09.
