SEEDA Waterfront Strategy findings and Open Forum

RESEARCH: The findings from the South East of England Development Association (SEEDA) Waterfront Strategy research will be presented and debated in an open forum MareNet event taking place on Monday 23 June 2008.

The event will be held at the National Oceanography Centre, European Way, Southampton SO14 3H. Registration for the event will begin at 15.45 with presentations starting at 16.00 promptly and a networking reception concluding proceedings at 18.30.

The event will include presentations from a number of people who have been closely involved in this comprehensive research to look at the impact, implications and importance of the waterfront for the continued growth of the marine sector.

Presentations will include:

• Main findings from the SEEDA Waterfront Strategy Research both economic impact and planning and land-use

• SEEDA’s view of strategic waterfront sites and response to the research and its findings

• Open discussion on the implementation of the findings and actions for the future

SEEDA says this event is important for all marine companies interested in the future growth of the sector and is your chance to interact with SEEDA on this vital and important issue.

The event will conclude with a networking reception over refreshments and canapés which has been kindly sponsored by Hampshire County Council.

There is no charge for this event but please be courteous and give at least 72 hours notice of cancellation.
