A luxury low wash motor cruiser, the F31 has been designed by marine architect, John Moxham. The first model will be 31ft long with a large aft double stateroom cabin with en-suite shower to starboard and en-suite WC to port.

The centre’s managing director James Knight said: “The open plan saloon will be exceptionally spacious, featuring an innovative galley layout occupying the curved bow area, giving a panoramic view of the journey ahead for the galley slave.

“The cruiser is built on a new version of the low wash hull pioneered by Len Funnell in his Norfolk Broads hire fleets and redesigned here to give a very practical and stable shape with pleasing lines.

“Although designed primarily for the inland waterways, the next model in the class, the Funnell 36 Sedan, will be capable of adventuring further afield in coastal waters given a suitable engine installation.”

The boat is being built for private sale as well as for a new fleet of hire cruisers to be based at Horning Ferry Marina from 2009. The Funnell 31 is in construction now and will be available from July 2008, with prices starting at around £120,000 including VAT.
