High speed superboats for Southampton

SOUTH COAST: XSMG Marine, the company founded by world powerboat champions and multi-world-record holders Ian Sanderson and Peter Dredge, is aiming to build up to 24 of its high speed superboats a year at its new premises in Marchwood near Southampton, writes Ian Sutherland.
The craft priced at between £1.25m and £1.5m, are rated as the world's fastest diesel production boat.
XSMG's new 17,000 sq ft facility allows up to six of the luxury boats, to be built simultaneously and will create ten new jobs for boat builders. The design department will move to Marchwood while the management office will stay in Lymington.
