METS 2008 sells out
14 Apr 2008
'This is fantastic news for us and a great compliment to METS,' says METS product manager, Irene Dros. The seven halls in use for METS offer over 48,000 sq m of exhibition area, around 20,000 of which is allocated to stand space.
Dros says the marine industry associations, which work closely with Amsterdam RAI, have helped revise the layout to squeeze in a few extra metres of space. 'This has really helped but unfortunately we are still unable to give every company the space they’d like,' Dros added. 'It’s important to have some reserve for new exhibitors, but we still have a waiting list building up.'
The new SuperYacht Pavilion will, however, get a new temporary building which adds an extra 2,000 sq m to double the size of this part of the show. Over 75 exhibitors have already signed up.
'We also look forward to the newly built hall for 2009, named RAI Elicium,' said Dros. 'It’s always a difficult balancing act trying to accommodate everyone’s requests and hopefully the extra space next year will make life easier for everyone.'
METS 2008 runs from November 18 to 20 in the Amsterdam RAI Convention Centre. More information about METS can be found at metstrade.com
