'Earthrace' goes again

ANOTHER GO: Fresh from her eco-pioneering round world record attempt, the radical but troubled wave piercing trimaran Earthrace will be gracing the marina at ExCeL as part of the Marine Experience at the British International Motor Show.

The exotic trimaran, which runs on 100% renewable biodiesel fuel, will be on display for the duration of the show from 23 July to 3 August 2008.

Skipper Pete Bethune said: "It’ll be fantastic to be able to show Earthrace at the Motor Show.

"The main reason we’re doing all this is to stimulate debate around the use of biodiesel and other renewable fuels, and car enthusiasts and manufacturers are a key target for us."

Breaking the world record is our way of proving the viability of biofuel and we’re looking forward to some interesting conversations with visitors at the show, he added.

The Marine Experience, organised by National Boat Shows (NBS), debuts at the Motor Show in July and August at ExCeL. More information from www.marineexperience.co.uk
