The companies will be displayed as part of the Ultimate Fleet section of the show, which complements the luxury brand car market, and showcases large luxury yachts alongside the Heritage Enclosure and Parade Ring, which will be a celebration of Super Car tradition.
"This is an exciting project for Sunseeker and we are delighted to be involved," said David Lewis, MD of Sunseeker London. "It’s a great opportunity to showcase ourselves to a whole new audience and we are pleased to be a part of this new idea."
Berth sales are going well for the main marina with boats of all sizes and shapes signing up to exhibit at the show, ranging from a Moody sailboat to powerboats from Glastron, Jeanneau and Doral. NBS is also working on bringing some spectacular on-water action, including a leg of the Thundercats Grand Prix, and will be running its ever-popular, signature Try-a-Boat feature.
"Having boats at the British International Motor Show for the very first time will open up a whole new audience for the industry, enabling interaction with future boating enthusiasts and hopefully encouraging attendees to get involved in a lifestyle they may not have previously considered," said NBS MD Andrew Williams. "Our plans are going well and with a comprehensive range of activities on offer we are confident there will be something to excite all at the show."
The biennial event attracted 415,000 visitors in 2006 and show organisers the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) is expecting 550,000 people to attend in 2008.
