Andrew Sims, BMF Central chairman, has pushed for more member-to-member networking opportunities in the region across the trades to give a broader appreciation of the region.

The Midlands Marine Trade Networking Dinner combining BMF Central, the Canal Boatbuilders Association (CBA), the Association of Pleasure Craft Operators (APCO) and the Midlands Marine Alliance (MMA) brings together all the regional elements into an evening of entertainment and, along with the guests from regional support agencies, makes it a worthwhile business development opportunity.

Mr Sims added: 'One of the great strengths of our industry is the opportunity for communication between the businesses and the various groups involved and the programme of events we are looking to implement over the next year, starting with the Midlands Marine Trade Networking Dinner, will strengthen the links, continuing to raise the profile of the industry both within the region and on a national level.'

Invitations are being send out this week, or you can download an application form here. You can also email your details to the Organising Wench Sam Clarke at sclarke@britishmarine.co.uk

Tickets to the banquet supported by PERA cost £40 per person inc VAT and will include a 4-course mediaeval banquet and goblets of mead.
