Superyacht refit website
The ICOMIA Superyacht Refit Group has launched its first website to inform captains, owners, yacht managers and their representatives about the high quality work performed at the member yards.
The site hopes to help readers make an informed decision about which yard to use for their next refit.
“The ICOMIA Superyacht Refit Group has aspirations of constant improvements,” said Rob Papworth, project director at Compositeworks and chairman for the ICOMIA Superyacht Refit Group.
“One of the original ideas behind the group was developing the standard and constantly improving the quality of our services. The importance of having a website is that we can maintain our transparency as anybody visiting it can read about what we represent and stand for. I think it is a very important step forwards for the group.”
The website informs its visitors about the values of the group. All ICOMIA Superyacht Refit Group members have to conform to a unique Code of Practice, which brings certainty to refits and eases the owner's concerns on how their yacht's refit will be managed and the quality that will be achieved.
Certain client issues are mandatory, such as insurance, warranty, transparency, environmental practices, customer satisfaction and €10m liability. In addition to this, the Refit Group members offer their clients a standard framework contract.
The ICOMIA Superyacht Refit Group yard members currently consist of Amico & Co, Astilleros de Mallorca, Compositeworks, International Technic Marine, Marina Barcelona 92, Monaco Marine, Pinmar and Rybovich.
Please visit the new website on www.superyacht-refit.com and the Refit Group can now also be found on Facebook.
