Portsmouth Poll - January 2011

23 Feb 2011

 Poll-600

Poll01-Fart-595

Trust those Americans, says Poll. They’ve designed gentlemen’s underwear that they say is fart-proof in as much as it soaks up ‘offensive rear end odours’.
What’s more, these skimpy little briefs are called 4SKINS…
The new underwear is made from odour absorbing fabric that uses neutraliser technology from California-based company, Nano-Tex, which builds ‘odor-eliminating nanotechnology’ into the fabric’s individual fibres.
The skimpies are the brainchild of Australian entrepreneur Gilbert Huynh, who spent two years on R&D before producing the 4SKINS, which are available for around £25 a pair.
But Mr Huynh says users must beware that while the pants suffocate odours, so gentlemen won’t have to blame that stench on the dog any more, they aren’t soundproof. So they’re effective only on the SBDs.
Poll, being of the feminine gender, says she has no need of such undergarments because ladies, of course, simply never fart…

Poll says rumours that she’s taking a stand at the London Bike Show are totally false...

Poll’s favourite legal eagle is the in-house counsel for Los Angeles tech company Think Passenger, who goes by the name of Sue Yoo.

Whoops! Poll hears of perhaps the most embarrassing superyacht launch of all time when, fresh from a major refit, the 60m Fox slipped gently into – and partially under – the Tha Chin River in Bangkok.
A statement was put out from the Owner’s Representative and Yacht Solutions, the company responsible for the yacht's reconstruction said there is much speculation as to what happened and why the yacht should have behaved in such a fashion but until full investigations have been completed there is little of substance to report further.
Attempts to right the vessel were unsuccessful and she is seen here in a semi submerged state on the banks of the river.
A contender for the Sea Cock Open Trophy, Poll wonders…
