RESTRUCTURE: Lewmar today announced up to 95 job cuts in a major company restructure in response to tough global trading conditions. The majority of the job losses will come from its UK manufacturing base in Havant with some additional redundancies in the USA, Australia, France and The Netherlands.
RELOCATION: Lewmar has relocated its steering division in the UK from Luton to its manufacturing headquarters in Havant. The move is designed to improve costs, quality and service and sees the closure of the Luton factory.
NAME CHANGE: Clyde Marine plc held an extraordinary general meeting on August 22 and voted to approve changing the company name to Lewmar Marine plc.
Lewmar operations managers Kevin Saunders and Barry Moth received a special award last month to recognise their 15 years of continuous service at the company's Havant headquarters.
The new L65 is the largest yet of Lewmar' s new " Stretch" winch range.
Lewmar' s latest figures show the group had sales of £ 3.6 million in the six months to December 31 2004, 7% above the same period in the prior year.

Clyde Marine plc is to move its windlass production from Cambuslang, Scotland, to the group' s Lewmar Havant facility, next to its central warehouse.
Lewmar also launched a multitude of new products at Earls Court. Two of them are additions to the company' s range of instrument pods: 7inch (18cm) and 10-inch (25cm) swivel-based radar pods.
Lewmar showed seven new products at Earls Court, ranging from anchoring accessories, to radar pods, a variable winch speed controller, a new generation of the H series windlass range, composite winches, snap shackle adaptor and the TT stern thruster.
Lewmar has signed a deal with Analytical Methods Italia to distribute the Italian Amiteam carbon steering wheels.
