BioSok eliminates bilge oil and spills
Placed in the bilge, BioSok will keep it clean for an entire boating season, says Biotech Environmental.
The award-winning BioSok is 100% biodegradable and non toxic and was developed as a spin-off from NASA technology.
The magic ingredient is scientifically modified beeswax, which binds with the oil and then uses natural microorganisms to break it down naturally and disperse particles as water and carbon dioxide.
As it works, the BioSok also eliminates fumes and odour in the bilge as well as the oil.
This product is also available as a bulk agent to tackle oil and fuel spills. It can be dispersed directly as a powder or contained in large BioSoks known as Bio-Booms to form holding ponds.
