EC Smith says that one of the most exciting products for 2011 is the new Railblaza range from New Zealand which includes the StarPort and TracPort mounting systems for boats and other vessels.
TracPort is a simple, yet effective solution for improving storage around a boat. From engine room organisation to somewhere to stow your oars, it provides the backbone of a versatile storage system. TracPort extrusions come in joinable, 0.5, 1.0 and 1.5m lengths and an extensive range of accessories including mounts, hooks, platforms and other holding devices for stowing and securing items onboard.
The system may be surface or recess-mounted on any flat surface from vertical to horizontal or rail-mounted on 19-25 mm rails. It can even be mounted to inflatable boats.
EC Smith has recently released one of those low-cost, interesting innovations. This one, the Superspout, lets you fill tanks quickly with no fear of overflow.
It is simple to use, robust, and has no moving parts, it just fills and stops when your tank is full – and if it sounds familiar, it did actually appear on Dragons Den. .
The nozzle fits standard 5, 10 and 20 litre containers and ECS’ attachment fits the most common UK and European fuel cans. It also speeds things up, emptying a 10 litre can in under 40 seconds. The SuperSpout can be used with diesel, petrol, paraffin and screenwash.
EC Smith also supplies an extensive range of equipment from barrel bolts to windlasses. Their extensive range include battery management and electrical equipment from BEP Marine, Hella Marine, Labcraft LED lighting plus everything else, including deck fittings and hardware.
On top of this, there are also new entrants to ECS’ ‘packaged products’ range as well a new series of MG Duff engine anodes and electro eliminators, which stops electrostatic radio and depth sound interference created by shaft rotation and, used in conjunction with a good cathodic protection bonding system, will stop unnecessary electrolysis. The company has recently Introduced the Newline budget hardware in brass and stainless steel.
The company has also brought in other products to its electrical range, high quality LED lights and replacement bulbs for both interior and exterior use, plus a range of attractive LED lighting solutions for diverse applications such as underwater spots, flexible string lights that come in either one or two metre lengths (or custom to order) and directional, swivel mounted mood light LEDs.
