Distributor’s Update 2011 - Vetus

09 Dec 2011

Vetus is probably best known for its engines, generators and bow thrusters, and for its solidly-made deck gear, hydraulics, and boat instruments, but it is justifiably proud of its ability as an innovator and sees bringing new products to market as a way to both beat the recession and enhance sustainability.

New products include a new NLPH vertical muffler/water separator for tight, upright spaces, a new line of port lights that can be installed in-hull for CE area 1 rating, the new RC-12 automatic chain and rope windlass system from Maxwell, the Uni-dash instrument range, which combines tachometers, digital displays and alarms all in one easy-to-fit unit.

Apart from now offering a three year warranty on all new products, Vetus has stepped up its focus on engineering and repositioning the product offering from individual items to systems that create a solution for boatbuilders. Further, it is launching a new programme of products that the company will distribute, rather than design, under a new label.

Its worth mentioning it has some interesting associations too, as other companies in the Vetus Group include Maxwell Marine Anchor Systems, and Marex Windows.
