Gill has thoroughly updated and improved its Keelboat Racer range of waterproof clothing for high performance racing sailors. The KB1 uses a tried and tested three layer material, rated with 4-Dots on the Gill category system, that is lightweight, extremely durable, highly breathable whilst providing the ease of movement required in particularly high activity sailing.
Commenting on KB1, international sales and marketing manager, Bryan Stewart said, ‘We’ve looked at all elements of high performance day racing. It is essential that your clothing doesn’t restrict your movement, so we’ve reduced the number of seams in KB1 to reduce garment weight and increase manoeuvrability. We’ve also taken into consideration practical aspects such as adding a much improved thigh pocket on the trouser, with a lanyard attachment point for securing a multi-tool. And it’s not just the sailing issues we’ve considered. As many high performance boats have limited facilities on board, I’m sure the guys using this product will appreciate the KB1 trousers’ new ‘easy-access’ convenience flap.’
