The smallest sister of the Mystery Yachts range – the Mystery 30 – has a redesigned interior that will be premiering at the London show.

The boat, from the drawing board of David Thomas, is a 30ft racer-cruiser which has always had a minimalist racing interior. However, the increasing interest in it as a cruising yacht means it now comes with a new luxury interior.

His son Peter Thomas explains: “The market for this type of boat has been slim pickings for a number of years but we have found a small niche for short-handed cruisers in search of a pretty little cruising yacht with a comfortable and homely interior.”

In effect, the Mystery 30 MKII has everything – it is fast, stable and responsive making it an ideal coastal and offshore four berth cruiser and racer, but without compromise on living comforts – and with the possibility that it will create a small nucleus that could become a One Design Class. Further, the boat’s 14hp inboard diesel engine also provides fast cruising speeds under power and the ability to drive effortlessly and comfortably into a head sea.
