Navico (Lowrance, Simrad etc) - Stand A126
Lowrance, B&G and Simrad Yachting brands are, according to Navico, throwing down a real challenge to other manufacturers with the new Advantage Service Programme.
The objective is to enable dealers to offer a market-beating level of support to customers at no extra cost.
The essence of the Five Year programme is that customers of any of these brands will, in the event of a failure, have the option to upgrade to the latest product at a discount.
Further, the OnBoard Advantage (B&G and Simrad Yachting only) gives a two year onboard warranty service for systems valued at over $2,500. The 24 Swap Advantage (at the moment only for Simrad NSE MFDs, B&G Zeus MFDs and the B&G WTP3) means that customers will be shipped a replacement within 24 hrs of any product defective in its first year. There are other additional programmes too, all extending warrantees and coverage.
However, the company notes that the challenge isn’t just to other manufacturers but to the level of commitment that retailers will find in meeting customers’ needs and expectations.
Therefore there is also the Retail Advantage scheme, which brings together on-line training, consumer data capture and retail incentives in one web portal, and the Certified Dealer Advantage (B&G and Simrad again) which gives dealers that demonstrate the required level of proficiency recognition and extra resources. On top of this, System Builder Advantage dealers can access a real time iPad app that gives access instant quotes and system design tools.
