Sail manufacturer North Sails One Design is extending its product range at the London Boat Show with the launch of a new range of yacht covers made from an innovative new material.
The range are manufactured using WeatherMax fabric, a new material that combines breakthrough UV technology with water resistance and durability making them lightweight and providing enhanced breathability.
The high-strength WeatherMax material is shrink-resistant due to its stability, it won’t stretch over time and resists fading when exposed to UV. The fabric also resists dirt and staining thanks to its impregnated water-resistant HyrdoMax finish, which includes an anti-microbial component and provides a soft-touch feel, ensuring minimal abrasion on contact with deck or hull surfaces.
A number of designs will be available to order from January, however the company will also offer custom covers to an individual boat’s specifications and colour samples are available from the WeatherMax range.
Visitors to the London Boat Show can see the new covers ‘in action’ on the range of yachts being exhibited by Key Yachting, including the J80, J109, J111 and the Grand Soleil 39, (which is making its UK debut at the show).
