Clip-on launching wheels

US firm Davis Instruments has produced launching wheels that fit into tracks permanently installed on the boat' s transom so a small boat can be " wheelbarrowed" into the water.
Once the boat's afloat, the wheels can be raised and locked clear of the water. The wheels are removable for storage and theft prevention.
Wheel-a-Weigh launching wheels are made of anodised aluminium and stainless steel and are available in two models.
Model 1461 features double hard-rubber tyres with a carrying capacity of 113kg on hard surfaces and 45 kilograms in sand. The wheels measure 20.3 cm x 3.8 cm and weigh 5kg.
