Seldé n Masts Ltd, part of the world' s largest spar making group, has recently launched its retail range of products including Seldé n blocks, rope, wire and rigging fittings.

The hardware range includes ball and plain bearing blocks from 20mm to 80mm, cam cleats, valley cleats and swivel cleats.

They also have a specialist range of dinghy ropes that will be used in all Seldén dinghy spars and will be available to retailers so sailors can now co-ordinate sheets, control lines and halyards.

This year Seldén has introduced a super thin carbon section for dinghy classes such as Merlin Rockets, National 12s and Contenders.

At the other extreme, the company has made its largest carbon rig yet, a mast and park avenue type boom for an Oyster 54. They have also supplied racing masts for Open 40s and the rig for Quokka, the Commodore's Cup winning Corby 36.

Seldén's latest new product is Furlex 400E, an electric version of its popular furling system. Seldén can now offer electric mainsail and genoa furling for yachts up to 55ft.

One key feature of Furlex electric is that the drive system can be retro-fitted to manual units allowing existing Furlex owners to upgrade to push-button sailing.
