Distributor’s Update 2011 - Marine Components International
This year sees MCI being appointed as UK distributors for Dr Shrink premium shrinkwrap and accessories.
Dr Shrink is probably the leading supplier of shrinkwrap in the USA and MCI carries a wide range of sizes of shrinkwrap and accessories for immediate delivery (introductory discounted accessory packages are available on request).
MCI says that it is "proud of its reputation for first-class customer service", and the fact that it has built up its profile to provide warehousing, distribution, sales and support for many of the leading manufacturers.
These include products from Groco marine hardware, including skin fittings and valves, water strainers, water systems, pumps and tanks, toilet and holding tank systems (the Sweetank system does actually keep the holding tank smelling sweet), and a range of oil pumps and valves. It also has the Lasdrop range of dripless shaft seals, now with twin water cooling intakes for increased reliability.
The company also provides trim tabs from Bennett Marine. The range has been expanded to include the new BXT stainless steel system, (which supports the larger SST stainless steel units) and the traditional black actuator system.
Amongst its anchor products are windlasses from Anchorlift and Data Hidrolik, Autoanchor windlass controllers and rode counters, and the Rocna range of anchors from New Zealand, which have now gained RINA certification. Performance Metals aluminium anodes are environmentally friendly and can be used in all types of water, and these come with a Red Spot wear indicator.
