Formula Marine shows technical capability
Formula Marine will showcase its technical capabilities by highlighting aluminium spars manufactured in its Dutch factory as well as exceptional carbon technology from its French facility.
Formula will display the carbon and wood laminated boom section developed for Turkish yacht builder DSV for a 67m, 3-masted schooner, showing the company’s development skills at their best by combining cutting edge carbon technology with traditional wood design.
The booms for the yacht were constructed with a laminate of carbon core and an exterior surface of laminated wood. The final appearance is of a stunning, polished solid wood boom, while being super lightweight and exceptionally strong.
In addition to the aluminium and carbon spars, Formula will further highlight its engineering capabilities by presenting their innovative in-boom and in-mast furling system from F² Advanced Sailing Technologies. The fully integrated package is controlled by just one joystick operation which can be located in any convenient position around the yacht.
Formula builds spars to exceptional standards for a wide range of yachts from 40 – 250 feet. With extensive facilities in the Netherlands and France, Formula can provide not only masts but the entire rigging, fitting and sail package from the deck up, wherever the yacht is located in the world.
