International Paint has launched two new products onto the market that are hardy enough to handle wet areas, such as bilges, and oily or chemical-prone areas, such as engine rooms.

Specifically formulated for use in schemes with full Lloyd's Surface Spread of Flame Certification, the products are designed to protect against internal corrosion problems without compromising on aesthetics.

Interior Primer 860 delivers a long-lasting, high-performance anticorrosive coating in a low odour formulation, which is quick-drying and has extended over-coating intervals. It is suitable for use in all areas of a yacht's interior, especially, as said, the bilges.

The other product, Interior Finish 750, is a two part polyurethane coating that comes in four RAL matched shades (7035, 7038, 9003 and 9010) and provides a high gloss, high opacity finish. The painted surface is tough, chemically resistant and easy to clean, which makes it particularly suited for engine rooms.
