Based Milton Keynes, MK9 1BB

About the role
An expert figure within the team, you’ll support the development of our overall strategy. You’ll coordinate the development of supporting business and financial plans, while devising and delivering the associated budget. We’ll also look to you to design, implement and improve the quality management processes that support our decision-making.

Working in a dedicated team, you’ll help ensure that the fire and other risks presented by boats on the inland waterways are as low as reasonably practicable. This will see you engaging with a wide range of stakeholders – everyone from BSS Examiners and navigation authority officers to committee members and customers.  The role is based at Milton Keynes but routinely you will work and travel from home.  There will be a requirement to undertake regular business travel as part of this role.

You will be adept with various business software systems and Microsoft office packages and ideally have experience of cloud-based computing. You know how to build and sustain strong working relationships, and your experience includes marine engineering and/or recreational craft design and construction. Target driven and tenacious, you also have experience of putting together business, finance and budget plans.

About us
