Operator Paint

28 Jul 2017

A fantastic opportunity has arisen here at The All-weather Lifeboat Centre (ALC) in Poole. We are looking for a talented individual to join our growing team as an Operator Paint.

The Royal National Lifeboat Institution is a charity that provides, on call, a 24-hour lifeboat search and rescue service and a seasonal lifeguard service.  Our lifeboat crews and lifeguards need a dedicated, professional and talented team behind them.  And this is where you come in…

You will be joining the team at an exciting time, as we will not only be building our own lifeboats at our facility in Poole, we will also be carrying out  the refits of our all-weather lifeboat fleet – due to be phased in over the next 6-18 months.   Our vision is to create a centre of engineering excellence in lifeboat construction and maintenance and we need your expertise and experience to help make this happen.

You will assist in the preparation and application of primary, secondary and final paint finishes on all classes of Lifeboat. Working in conjunction with other members of the ALC, you will ensure that tasks are completed in a structured and professional manner.

It is essential you have relevant City and Guilds or NVQ level 2/BTEC (or equivalent experience) relevant to paint application methods. Experience of paint application within the marine industry is desirable, but not essential.

Come and join us in the build of this centre of excellence and help save lives at sea.
