AWARD: Volspec, the Tollesbury-based marine and industrial dealership, has won its fifth Volvo Penta Gold Award for Outstanding Contribution to Business Development - Dealer of the Year 2008 Award. The company adds the 2008 award to its 1982, 1990 2002 and 2005 awards.

At the recent 2008 Volvo Penta Dealer Conference Volspec collected two top awards. In addition to the Dealer of the Year Award, the company also collected the Industrial Engines 2008 title.

With 21 staff and two bases - Tollesbury on the Blackwater and Woolverstone on the Orwell - the company has a history of innovation and flexibility stretching back to its launch in 1973. Competing against 58 national dealers, Volspec has proved the most consistent, having won in each category of the Volvo Penta awards since 1981.

'This award recognises team effort and is the result of a lot of hard work by a team of loyal staff, who are focused on quality of service and customer excellence,' said service director Pat Mott, who was joined by sales director Robert Brammer to accept the awards.
