Index Marine has launched a new value range of waterproof cable glands, connectors and junction box kits which can be viewed at METSTRADE stand 03.215.

Developed to complement its existing Premium range of safety electronic systems and waterproof cable management accessories, the low-cost value range comprises IP68-rated black plastic straight-though cable and deck glands, right-angled side-entry cable glands, grafter series connectors and electrical junction box kits.

The connectors are described as ‘a cheaper, smaller and more elegant connector and plug solution’ and the box kits are available in differing sizes with optional ports and easy-to-fit grommets/cable glands to suit a variety of applications.

“The value range differentiates us from our competitors by providing clients with solutions to cater for various applications, size variations, a wide range of aesthetic finishes and competitively-priced IP68 rated cabling solutions," explained MD Chris Fearnely.

“Customers can easily distinguish between the two as the value range is white with a value icon and the premium range is blue with a premium icon.”

Index Marine is also unveiling its new modular safety electronic system – ensuring visual real-time information is displayed to report on-board system functionality, allowing operatives to monitor and control the safety aspects of a vessel.

The system comprises an annunciator panel that displays critical status information, a water ingress alarm, bilge control, exhaust temperature alarm, fuel gauge and electrical status/fault indicator.

It has been designed to be easy to install and can be purchased in its entirety or as standalone units - with the exception of the annunciator panel which conveys information from other units.
